    EEP! I love it! I was gonna wait till I finished to give you a real nice, long review, but I just couldn't stand it any longer, I just had to tell you how wonderful this is, Kristeh!
    I love how Harry got Snape to eat cake, and how Snape ran his finger thru Harry's hair and comforted him, and how Harry almost cried when everyone came in with the cake. So sweet!
    I love it!
    Now I'm off to read more, this is so awesome!

    Great chapter! Ohmigosh, I love it when you described how Harry was feeling when they were talking about Umbridge. I also love how Harry almost cried because he never had a birthday! I love things like that -- I need more! *grin* hahaha

    Author's Response: Aw, thanks!  Poor Harry really has had a rough life in many ways, but things will get better for him now!

    I loved that Harry thought to ask Severus to participate in the party--and Slytherined him into having to be a part of the "fun."

    Author's Response: Thank you!  You know, I enjoyed the birthday party scene.  I thought Harry could really empathize with Severus here, seeing him being left out, and Harry can definitely be a bit sneaky.

    The slow build up of the relationship between Harry and Snape is well done. The hidden care that Snape has for Harry, the trust that Harry is beginning to have for Snape is beautifully done.

    "He was glad, of course, that Ron and Hermione had loving families, people who would look out for them, but why couldn't he have someone like that, too?" Little does he know that that person is going to be Snape!!

    Really great chapter! I loved every line of it! You are able to portray Hermione and Ron's comforting-acts of kindness perfectly. It was really a nice little touch to have Ron tell Hermione to not push too hard too.

    I also liked how you showed the mass of thoughts and confusion at Harry's apology to Severus. I really hope everything works out well. And Harry is a bit of a Slytherin here too! "And he knew that once he'd mentioned Snape's name, the man wouldn't have any choice." Absolutly genius!!

    Can't wait for the next chapter!! And the trio's O.W.L. results!

    Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much!  Your reviews are a lot of fun to read!  You know, as much as I love writing Harry and Severus, I'm having lots of fun with Ron and Hermione, too!  And Harry does indeed have a bit of Slytherin in him!  Of course, I think we all do deep down, lol.
