Wow! Like your other story that is posted here on P&S, I literally couldn't stop reading from beginning to end. I actually almost dropped my laptop after dozing off after staying up far too late, and immediately picked up to read the last three posted chapters as soon as I woke up this morning.

I think I like this story even better than your other one, particularly the realistic way you are handling Harry and Severus' relationship with each other. The one-step-forward-two-steps-back pace of their beginning to trust each other, and admitting that they really had come to love one another in a father-son way was incredibly well-written. Too many fics rush that final acceptance of each other, and those stories leave me unsatisfied. Even though this one is not finished, I feel as if I've just eaten a delicious meal which will sustain me as I wait for the next course.

I am intrigued by Harry's wild magic. Too bad he doesn't remember doing it. The knowledge of the power of it might actually increase his confidence that he is strong enough to stand up against Voldemort and survive. But his amnesia makes for great emotional and angsty suspense, so I'm glad you're working it this way.

Thanks, also, for how you are handling Harry and Ginny's emergent romantic relationship. I think it's the best I've seen published so far.

I do hope that you will come back to both of these stories and finish telling the tales. They're going on my favorites list, and I'm going to be recommending them to my friends.

    Well done!

Oh, I loved Ginny taking the initiative! :) And how she told Hermione to do so as well, since Ron was lallygagging. *grin*

Now, back to the start of the chapter: I thought that the parallel sections of Severus and Harry being introspective were nicely done. You've lain a nice foundation for the rest of the story, I think. Severus' musings on Theodore Nott were intriguing. I look forward to seeing, as I read the rest of the story, if we readers get to see more of Nott and what his agenda really is.

I also like how you use just the right amount of physical description along with your dialogue. I can picture things clearly in my head as I read, but I don't feel bombarded with a surfeit of detail that drags me away from the characters.

On to Chapter 2! (And I apologize in advance if the next review you see is the one for the latest posted chapter... if this tale is as good as "Severus Snape and the Muggle", I'll be hitting the next chapter button fast, to see what happens next.)

    Author's Response:

Once again, thank you for your lovely review. I hope you enjoy this tale as much as you did Muggle.

Yes, certainly....I don't doubt your vocabulary. It's just that when I see the stories I particularly like, I feel like making them perfect to the fingertips so I can them to show my friends. Well, I hope I haven't inadvertently hurt your pride, because I certainly didn't mean to...in fact, I am waiting for an update with bated breath!

    Author's Response:

No, you did not hurt my pride. I am glad you are enjoying the story. I know it has been a long time since I last updated, but I am working on a new chapter. It is very slow going though I am afraid.

Yeah, of course it's great....sometimes I feel like throttling all these adults around Harry..Merlin, they're all mother hens! If I were Harry, I'm not sure I would have been too happy myself....

    Author's Response:

Thank you for your review. Yes, poor Harry's life is one trial after another, isn't it. Although finding a father in there must count as good, I hope. LOL

Sorry to pint out - but "advisement" is wrong - it's "advice". There are some more small errors in the document, which you'll notice if you look closely.
Otherwise it's gr8, as no doubt you've been told already.

    Author's Response:

Thank you for your review. I am glad you like the story but I am afraid I am going to have to disagree with you on my use of 'advisement'; it means to take under careful consideration. It is the sort of word that I feel Severus would use. If you read the sentence again, you will see that 'advice' does not fit. And I doubt there is a fanfiction anywhere out there that does not have small errors scattered hither and yon, but I do try my best (as did my beta) and I pride myself in my vocabulary.

I am loving this story so much. You are doing a great job of writing people as they would really react, in a way I can picture them in my mind. For example, the gift-giving from Severus to Harry was lovely, and I laughed out loud at Ron's reaction when Pig swooped into the room. Please write more soon.

Hi I have just discovered your story here and read the first 43 pages I hope you go on for as many more again. A brilliant story, very much to my taste. I am very attached to your Harry, a very beleivable teen and your Severus who is very much as I have always veiwed him. Excellent writing your story flows smoothly and all your characters are well rounded and most enjoyable. I await your next chapter with interest. Thanks for taking the time to write & share, Chris
