Greetings from Virginia! I began reading Harry Potter fanfiction in 2006, and P&S is my favorite site by far! I don't have a computer of my own yet, but that hasn't stopped me from writing. I have a couple of one-shots currently in progress, as well as a multi-chaptered story that's going on 35,000 words so far, all of this handwritten. I braved the wilds of the public library to get my other stories typed up and uploaded to P&S. As a writer, I mainly want my stories to be enjoyed; if you like them, please let me know by leaving a brief review! Thanks!!!
I have 4 cats: Cricket (long-haired black-striped gray/beige tabby female), Tiger (white with orange spots male), Shadow (solid black female), and Jack (gray&white male). The cats are my main hobby (at least THEY think so!), but I also enjoy cooking and updating older recipes (from the era of comfort food) to render them less deadly than the originals! I also crochet on occasion, love Native American Pow Wows, Star Trek (original classic series is my fave), and NASCAR (rooted for Rusty Wallace until he retired, and am now backing Carl Edwards). Fave singer is 3-time Grammy winner Bill Miller (www.billmillerarts.com) - I know most people have never heard of him, but go ahead and check him out-- he's AWESOME!!! (If the link doesn't connect the first time, click the BACK arrow, then try clicking on the link again; I've found that it usually loads Bill's site on the second click-- weird, but hey, whatever works, right?)
Am hoping to get a laptop before the end of 2012, although at the rate I'm going, it'll take a miracle...

Snape knows Harry Potter's eyes. He knows how they've changed and how come they have. Yet Snape can't escape the memory of the young Harry who he met over old Chinese food, stolen bandages, and a dislocated shoulder. Wait and Hope for the world's end.

- Found this on Story of the Moment & so glad I clicked on it! I love the interaction between Snape and Harry in both realms, the comparison/contrast between both, and their mutual acknowledgement at the end. Especially, I liked the fact that Harry had kept and WORN Snape's belt through the years. It was the one item he'd owned that wasn't Dudley's first, a gift (as it were) from the only person Harry could remember trying to help him during the hard years of his childhood. I'm sure Harry must have known all along that Snape was his benefactor, even before he suffered the detention injury, and despite Snape's treatment of him since First Year, he still wore the man's belt. That's awesome! Oh, to be a fly on the wall of Harry's brain, knowing that there was far more to the Potions Master than what met the eye...
War has destroyed the ministry, Dumbledore's mind is no longer reliable, Harry is tired of war and Snape must decide if it will end.

- Wow! The story may be short, but it gives one a lot to think about! I read it through twice, & I really got even more out if it the second time. Really interesting that Snape, not Dumbledore, ended up with the decision, even though Harry wanted to call the shots. Very thought provoking-- well done!
Harry receives a very special gift on his 16th birthday that leads him to the help he needs...Snape is finding respite from his growing pressures and discovers one in need of help. Despite himself, he finds he CAN grow close to another living being. Only..."everything would've been so much simpler if it'd actually been a cat"...

- I began reading "Shadow" in French on fanfiction.net last year and fell in love with it! (I'm up to chapter 25 in French.) it's great to see an English translation on P&S so that even more readers can enjoy the story! I especially love the characterization of the cat, and the way you have of putting your audience into his mind, seeing the world from Shadow's point of view! (Also, I hope you don't mind, but your writing was the inspiration for my pen name: I was reading about Snape speaking to the cat "en sa voix shadowienne", and I realized I'd found my pen name! Merci!)

- This chapter has a bit of everything in it! My favorite parts were the wonderfully-detailed Green Room, and Harry's fire-whiskey rambling to Remus! I always read each chapter in French first, then check the English translation to make sure I got the full meaning (I'm usually about 90% accurate!), but even in French, I was laughing in HYSTERICAL HORROR as Harry confronted Remus! That was TERRIFIC! And the wonderful green tail reappears! Excellent!!!
Author's Response: I must admit that I had a lot of fun writing this chapter, both because I loved the idea of the room and because imagining everyone's face during Harry's rant was just oo funny! mwahahaha, I'm kind of evil sometimes!

- Hee! Absolutely adored Shadow's encounter with Titus! Just goes to show that not all feline behavior is pure instinct-- some has to be learned! (I could just SEE Shadow rudely sticking his nose into Titus' fur to smell him!!!) And who is the "other" black cat? Possibly Millicent Bulstrode's? (I suppose Harry never took notice of Hermione's scent when she was a cat-woman...) // Also, amazing details regarding Harry's training session. And he killed a boggart-- I didn't expect that! Hmm... Now I'm wondering if that foreshadows someone else's demise. We shall see... Terrific chapter, Keina!

- I enjoyed seeing Snape and Moody working as a team, although they certainly didn't fall out of character during their mutual endeavors! Their repartee is fantastic! Sharp sarcasm combined with biting wit-- you couldn't ask for more! I can honestly say that I've never seen another writer tackle their prickly relationship as wholeheartedly (and DELIGHTFULLY) as you have. Speaking of prickly: a hedgehog Patronus for Moody is priceless! Fits him to a T! Wonderfully done!

- WHOOOOAAAAA!!!!!!!! That was HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!! I was sitting in the exam room at the vet's, waiting for my cat's x-rays to come back, reading this chapter on my cell phone, and EVERYONE IN THE BUILDING heard me burst out LAUGHINGGGGGGGG! It's not the sort of thing I could actually EXPLAIN, so I'm sure they thought I was going looney-toons for sure. Absolutely AWESOME!!!!!! YES, I LOVED SEV SINGING!!!

- This has become one of my absolutely favorite stories! I laughed SO often throughout at the way you expressed things -- this goes beyond merely good writing; this is sheer genius!
My favorite aspect from beginning to end concerned the wonderful juxtaposition of Harry's and Severus' feelings, both working from opposite points of view over the same incidents, so that we see how each character feels, and how wonderfully they blend, even though they see things in totally different ways. (I know that sounds hopelessly generalized, but I also know that YOU know what I mean. Or, at least, I HOPE so!!!)
I loved the scene with Quirrel's turban more than words can express! I was afraid the plan would go awry and they couldn't pull it off, but when they DID -- I couldn't stop laughing!
Lord Volauvent! *snort* And Lord Voldesnort!! *snicker* And... the list goes on! I was actually ready to go to bed when I got the the AK scene, so then I had to actually FINISH the story... *shakes head* All I can say is -- what is that word again??? SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS! (sp?) (Gred to Forge: "Say that five times faster!")
